Free Community Chipping - Downriver, Northern and Middle Trinity
The Watershed Research and Training Center (WRTC) is partnering with the Trinity County Resource Conservation District (TCRCD) for another season of free Community Chipping in Trinity County. This valuable program helps landowners reduce the risk of wildfire spreading on private property by disposing of woody debris piles. Landowners are asked to stack tree branches, brush, and other woody materials in orderly piles along an accessible part of their property so WRTC and TCRCD crews can feed the material into a woodchipper. This is an important service for property owners to maintain their defensible space and prepare for fire season.
