Annie Leverich - FIRE ADAPTED COMMUNITIES LEARNING NETWORK Communications and Membership Coordinator
As Communications and Membership Coordinator, Annie supports FAC Net's member network and designs practitioner-focused content for FAC Net's website, blog, and social media channels. Annie spearheads FAC Net's content development strategy with a focus on celebrating fire practitioner projects, producing educational materials, and increasing access to fire-related information. In addition, Annie supports content development for TREX, WTREX, and a handful of prescribed burn associations. As a qualified FFT2, she can occasionally be found out in the field working side-by-side with California fire practitioners, building community and satisfying her intermittent need for some time on the drip torch. Annie earned a B.A. in Anthropology from Grinnell College, and is completing graduate coursework towards an M.P.A. with a focus on environmental sustainability and social justice. Annie joined the FAC Net team in January 2022 and is excited to broadcast the message of fire safety with warmth and enthusiasm. Based in Oakland, CA, Annie is an experimental cook, an amateur cartoonist, and a caretaker for two rambunctious kittens.
