Environmental Planning, Monitoring and Modeling

The Watershed Center’s Environmental Planning, Monitoring and Modeling Program includes projects that assess the condition of local lands; coordinate  landowners, agencies, and the community to make recommendations for treatments; and monitor the effects of restoration work. Professional modeling and GIS, including vegetative growth and yield, wildland fire behavior, and sediment yield are performed by our staff to help inform long range planning and adaptive management.

Learn more about our planning, monitoring and modeling work by checking out our recently completed South Fork Trinity River Watershed Assessment, and some of our past projects including the Big Creek Management Plan, Post-Fire Sediment Modeling, Miners Fire Assessment, and Community Wildfire Protection Planning.
